Did anyone after the latest patch else get the game to crash the pc requiring hard reboot?

I get this in every game and it first gets the pc really sluggish then just freeze.

Anyone?

Yeah, all the time now. Cannot start the game, it freezes the entire computer. Sometimes it freezes during playthrough. With mods or no mods. I am giving up.

Hi! Yes, there have been several post about this issue. I've been in contact with others experiencing the same, trying maybe hundreds of possible fixes with no avail. At this point I am convinced is a game issue. I talked with almost everyone who posted about this and it happens regardles OS, PC Specs, game configuration, location, etc. As someone else pointed out we'll just have to hold out until the threads gets noticed by PDX support personnel.

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here. IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.txt

Hi @AndrewT, attached files here. No exceptions.txt though.

What is the ETA on a fix for this? It is breaking the game.

MS have put out at least 3 patches addressing this Windows 11 24H2 issue, or parts of it, but problems still remain I'm afraid!

All you can really do is keep Windows up to date, unless you can revert to 23H2.
