Game crashing during "Loading Graphics" [SOLVED]

Hi,

I have the pre-order steam version wich I bought on gamersgate (who redirect me on steam to install). I've play with the demo version before, it runs. I've install the game and have de DLC too. The option appear correctly.

When I open the game, it loads but everytime the loading gets to ''Chargement des graphismes'' (french version)... it crashes.

do you know what's the problem?

Hi Rouge666,

Go to your '..\My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\' folder and open the settings.txt. Then make the changes described by Kallocain below:

I guess this could be an issue for many of you:

	size=
	{
		x=1024
		y=768
	}

	min_gui=
	{
		x=1280
		y=720
	}

See the problem? Your resolution is lower than the minimum resolution for the game.
I don't have any programmer to ask right now, but try to change the setting for the minimum resolution to the same as the one you have, and see if you can start the game. If it works, it won't be pretty though. There is a reason for why we have that min number.
