Hi, I've been trying to finish up an ironman Spain playthrough in version 1.8.6 before doing a new playthrough with Charters of Commerce. However now in 1917 the game is crashing constantly for me, sending me to the paradox crash reporter. I've tried:
Verifying the game files.
Disabling fullscreen optimisations, selecting fullscreen display, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.
Lowering quality settings to low.

I was hoping someone may know something I can do to be able to finish the playthrough.
Based on reading other threads I've already added some files.
Thanks for any help in advance!

I don't see a specific reason for this crash in those files. Does this crash always happen at a specific point , action or event in the game? Or more random than that?

You might attach the affected save here so others can see if they get the crash too.

It seems to currently be happening all the time in between the 21st and 22nd of August within the game. I've tried using various speeds and the crash always seems to happen around that time.

That save crashes for me too under 1.8.6 so it's not your setup that's the problem.

There is frankly not much hope to rescue it as it is almost certainly a game bug. I think your best shot is to update to 1.8.7 and hope it is fixed in there.

If not, it is possible to good folks over in User Mods could look into the save file and see what the problem is, but I'm pretty sure that would destroy its Ironman status.

Sorry about that!

I've tried updating to 1.8.7 and it sadly didn't work. I'll try posting in User Mods to see if they can help. I don't mind if the ironman status is destroyed, I just want to finish up the playthrough.
Thank you for your time looking into the problem and confirming it's not a setup problem. You've been a great help.
