Description​

I bought Vic 3 on Steam Sale last year, and finally decided to play it. However, I can't get it to work. After clicking Play on the Launcher, I receive an error message with code 3221225501 and the game does not start. I haven't installed any mod or DLC (I'm trying to run with the Vic2 remastered soundtrack disabled), and I've tried verifying the integrity of the game files and installing the latest version of C++ redistributables from Microsoft, rebooting my computer and trying again. I have also tried disabling Vsync, checked the display settings and resolution, and I've attempted to run the game in fullscreen and windowed mode. I can't annex any crash logs, as none have been generated. DxDiag is annexed. I have already reported this by email on Feb 13th, but received no answer there. What can I do to fix this?

I'm afraid your Intel(R) Pentium(R) Gold G5400 CPU does not meet the minimum requirements of the game, which specify AVX support:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-3250 or AMD® FX 8370 (AVX support required)

It is a shame you didn't try the game soon after you bought it, as you could have got a refund from Steam. I'm sure they will refuse any refund now.


I hope you have access to some other computer that meets the hardware requirements, or will be able to get one soon.
