Hello!!! English is not my language, so I apologize in advance if I don't explain myself clear. Since the peacock update, I can't play this game. It freezes on the loading screen every time I've tried to launch. I've reinstalled many times but nothing happens. I've been looking at all the forums in steam every solution that has been posted but nothing has solved my problem. I'm a linux user so the solutions for windows doesn't work for me. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Thank you in advance.

I know of two possible causes to this problem on Linux.

One is if you've used the Snap or Flatpack installs of Steam, which do not work well with our games. You need to use the native Linux client from Valve:
http://store.steampowered.com/about/
"Install Steam Now"

The other is an issue with Steam when you have Proton installed; Steam sometimes thinks you have the game on WIndows not Linux so installs the wrong version. If you see ck3.exe (ie the Windows executable) in your Steam folder for this game, that is the problem!
You can get past that as described here:

IF that doesn't help, run the ./ck3 executable from a terminal command line. What output do you see there when it fails? Or does it work okay then?

Thank you for your answer and sorry for my late response!!! I've tried not to use Proton, but it doesn't work. What surprises me is that others games from Paradox (for example, EUIV and CKII) launches without any problem. As I said before, problems have started since the Peacock update. Until that, I've played CK3 perfectly.

What I've realised is that, in Game Settings at the launcher, if I set vulkan, it freezes at the launch screen, but if i turn to opengl, the game launches and seems working, but when I start the game, I can see the map but the screen is black. I think the problem could be about that, but I don't know how to fix it. Could it

By the other side, I can't run ./ck3 from a terminal because I don't find it.

Right click on this game in your Steam Library, manage, browse local files. Go into the /binaries/folder, it is there.
