Make sure you update your video drivers, run the DirectX diagnostic, rename your AVI folder, and set your color depth to 16BIT.
 
Did you also follow my instruction to set the color depth to 16Bit?
 
What about the directX diagnostic I asked you to run?

What is the problem with installing the new drivers?
 
Missing required software sounds like a problem. :)
Try reinstalling selected windows compenets, or a repair install.
 
Well the game requires 8.1 as well.
Perhaps run a DirectX diagnostic and post the results here.
