Game doesn't start

I bought the original HoI II and installed it. Everything seemed to go well but after I press "Play" the game loads for a while until it stops and says:
"Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application"

What can I do as the CD-ROM is already in the drive?!?

Here is info of my laptop:

- Windows XP Home Edition
- 512MB memory
- Realtek High Definition Audio
- DirectX 9.0
- Free HD: 18Gb
- AMD 1595Mhz

I haven't installed any patches so the game version is what it is in the box.

You dont need the CD in the drive to play the game.

There should be an entry in your start/programs for the game in there.

I highly encourage you to install the patch.
