Does anyone know of a editor for AOD. there was talk of such a mod but it wasn't finished I think. My aod game cant read my new soviet ministers..

I was actually going to make a thread about this a few days ago, but my browser crashed and I was too lazy to rewrite it.

The HOI2 editor works with AOD. It also wasn't completely finished, but you can find the thread and download links here.

I've found it most useful for arranging tech trees. It took longer to create the background image for this tech tree than it took to reorganize the default AOD techs (once a more efficient tree design was determined).

Although it basically takes the information and then outputs it into a 'new' text file, so if you are writing things manually and putting comments in you will lose them. It also doesn't recognize some of AOD's added commands (like night attack modifiers), but if you put those in manually it will keep what you had if you do run the editor.

As far as I know leaders haven't changed, so you shouldn't encounter any problems. But it's not a validator, so I'm not sure if it will be able to parse your edited leader files if the game can't.

In that case you may want to start from scratch (and I'd recommend using something like Notepad++ to help keep semi-colons better organized). I believe there's also a Clausewitz/Europa engine validator. But that too is somewhat out of date and didn't work well with steam and AOD's mod-dir set-up when I tried it.

thanks the program can read the files and I saved but aod can just pic one of the new soviet ministers just like the doomsday editor. maybe It helps if I re-add them? the program ignores the loyalty for the ministers strange..

Loyalty has no in-game effect, so it's not used.

For your other question you'll have to rephrase the problem, because I can't understand what you mean.

Maybe this will help:

Unfortunately the editor doesn't support mod-dir, so you can only edit in the main AOD directory (so if your modded leader files are in your own mod folder you'll have to move them to the main AOD directory (make sure you back-up your files) before the editor can work with them.

If the editor isn't reading your files you may need to start again (or post the leader file here and someone might be able to find what's wrong with it).

I moved the editor you have showed me to the main program in aod. the editor works but so far not for the new soviet ministers I made. strange it worked for normal russia but not USSR.

I found this on hoi2wiki:
Loyalty
This supposedly represents the ministers chance of being killed by a random event. Not sure if this is implemented or not.
