Currently having a problem, where I have checked the current Game and its the same for my friends. I appear to be using a different version of the game as far as the game telling me I am using a different game, I have done the following troubleshooting methods.

1. Turning all my DLC/Mods off then back on, then off again. Uninstalling my DLC/Mods.
2. Validating Files via Steam
3. Checking to see if I'm opted into a Beta (To which I am not)
4. Uninstalling the game and deleting all files associated with the game before reinstalling it without DLC/Mods
5. Double and Tripple checking the game version I have and my friends confirming the version they are using.
6. Uninstalling Steam and Reinstalling it
7. Updating Drivers (I was at my witts end at this point)
8. Rolling back drivers (Again I was sort of losing my mind)
9. Opting into and out of a beta
10. Getting my friend to opt into a beta along with myself (This did not work as even when in the beta 2.4.0 Lee Version - 2.4.1 Lee Version - 2.3.3 Wolfe Version It said I was running another Version of Stellaris)

Without Mods / DLC The Game Version build ID and everything else is below. Please send help Paradox, I have been trying to fix this for 10 days on my own but have reached the point that my IT expertness have been exhausted along with a discord of 30 odd Nerds. I want to play this game with my friends, I am not sure what I can do on my end, but I'm pretty sure its a simple mistake on my part. If you can help me get this fixed it would mean the world to me.

As of (11/4/2019) (5:55 AM) (Monday)

From the launcher it says (Without the Beta's)

Version Shelley v2.5.0 (735cf9b8976d3960ce220e405e459939)

From ingame Main Menu (Without the Beta's)

Version Shelly 2.5.0 (9939)
Build ID: a588902

Notes: The game Version is the same as any other game version on the server, unchecking the same version will show them, however it won't show any servers for my version even though they are indeed the same version.

One bug that was fixed was a DLC Plantoid Duplicate that would not disable when disabling DLC after reinstalling for the second time it seemed to get rid of it, even though DLC holds no bearing on the Version I thought that was the bug so tried fixing it.

Attempted to install the game on another PC from my Account on steam, however no dice as it seems to be either the Account or my Steam version of the game that's making this mess. If its as simple as linking the two accounts I will feel pretty stupid at this point lol.

Anyhow if this is the wrong area to post this I'll move it. Thanks again for even reading it this far if you have done so. Any help would be appreciated.

Had this same issue, only way out was to use a mod manager called Pdoxos mod manager and had everyone have the same modlist.

Since the onus of the load order is on the user now it mixes and changes all together for every person so there's no other way but to have the same load order.

After Extensively messing around, I was able to Delete everything from Steam/Stellaris and reinstalled all of it for the third time.

It is now working after the third reinstall of steam and Stellaris. Turns out there was a Stellaris folder in Documents, a duplicate that was causing issues. So deleting everything from Stellaris and reinstalling it seems to work.
