Game executable error

Has anybody recently come across this error?
"Game executable was not found in the current directory which is required for the current configuration to be saved and used. Ensure that the launcher is placed in the same directory as the game."

I couldn't get the game to start (nor could I find my saved games), so I re-downloaded and did a new install to C:\Games and while that worked for a couple weeks, today the new install gave me the same issue.

Sounds like a file (perhaps "Darkest Hour.exe", "Darkest Hour Launcher.exe" or "settings.cfg") has been removed. That file is necessary to run the game, so you should restore it.
Maybe it was flagged as possible virus by your antivirus and automatically removed. Try checking that.
