Well the first thing to try a see if we get an easy fix is to install the latest public beta patch.

Okay Let's make sure you saw and tried all my standard advice.
Also continue to do these things, for example if you reinstall the game, rename the AVI folder again, turn off Virus protection everytime you go to test the game ...

1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu –Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select “Save All Information” button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says “DirectX components” then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.

Need the rest please.

Also what about shutting everything in the background down.

Have you experimented with setting the game to a lower resolution?

Turn down the acceleration of your video card one notch at a time and see what happens. You can do this in the Dxdiag program you used before.

Also: set the game res to be 1024x768 16 BIT color, set your desktop to the same.

Sorry for the misdirect with the resolution thing. I was helping a person with a simmilar problem in the Knights of honor forum, and got the two mixed up. :(

Depends on how all the parts work together.

What about operating system?
