Each time the month changes, the game freezes for ten or so seconds. It was working fine till some days ago and, since I first thought it was my computer's fault, I formatted it just in case and reinstalled all drivers and everything else, but it changed nothing in the end. All graphics are on minimum, my computer has decent specs (AMD FX-8300 CPU, Radeon RX480 and 16Gb of RAM) and I already ran all kinds of troubleshooting recommendations twice, so I'm accepting any ideas at this point.

Does this happen right from game start in 1444? Or only later on?
What antivirus do you use? Add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .
Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

The freezing on month start happens right off the bat when I start a game on 1444 and keeps going as long as I play it. During late game it gets worse, but lagging during late game always happened to me.
I use AVAST as antivirus, but I already had an exception made for EU4. Made a new one just in case, but didn't felt any changes.

From that error log you have some bad mods, AND there may be game corruption as well.
Please do a full **clean** re-install:
- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam Workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign - NOT with any existing one.
In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.

Doing it all appears to have worked well enough, there's still a little bit of delay when the month changes, but it's nothing major or troublesome. Thank you for the help.
