Game freezes while "Loading Databses"

Hello,

I've spent about 4 hours trying to research/ fix this problem to no effect. When loading the game, it starts normally. However, when it gets to the "loading databases....." screen of the loading sequence, it freezes and is listed as not responding in the task manager. I have deleted the local steam files and reinstalled to encounter the same issue. I cannot seem to find were this issue has been addressed elsewhere. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

As an expiriment, I left the game alone after it started showing that it was not responding at the "loading databases...." screen. It appears to be loading because it is now on the "processing flags...." loading sequence. However, this is about an hour after starting the game. My system specs are far above the necessary min, and I do not know what make of this new developement. It seems to be more confusing than before. Please help, lol.

please post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the "Sound devices" section for brevity), settings.txt, system.log and error.log files (you'll need to rename the .log files to .txt to upload). Also open setup.log, search for "checksum", and paste that line only in here.
