Greetings!

I need help with my game which is stuttering/lagging on every new day for about 1-5 seconds.

Even after a completely clean reinstall and removing any traces of ck2, starting a new game or loading a previous game the problem persists.

I added exceptions for the ck2.exe in my anti-virus software "Bitdefender" to no avail but maybe i forgot something somewhere:).

Please help me Tech-support, your my only hope.

Such as the fact there is no ck2.exe any more? :D Try doing it with ck2game.exe instead. That said, AV apps are unlikely to cause problems of this nature.

Has this always happened ever since you've had the game? Or only since what change or update?

Does it happen right from the start of a new game? Or only in mid or late game, or only when playing for an extended period?

Does it affect Stellaris also?

Unload GeForce Experience if you have it running.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK2/settings.txt.

Thanks for the reply!

Oh and the thing with ck2.exe, that was my bad I had added the right program to the exceptions .:confused:

The problem started as i returned to the game after around 3 months ? I didn't have any problems when playing Holy Fury back then, as well with the mod "geheimnisnacht" on the version 2.8.1.1 beta and now i do have the same problem even with older versions.

The problem occurs regardless of time passed, on a new game or loading a savegame that is some hours into the game and persists even after i let the it run for any length of time.

It doesn't affect Stellaris, its running smoothly.

I tried it with Geforce Experience uninstalled sadly it changed nothing.:(

I'm running it in borderlessmode most of the time and tried changing it to fullscreen and windowed which had no effect.

Change that as follows:
refreshRate=60
fullScreen=yes
borderless=no

If that doesn't help, exit the Steam app entirely and run ck2game.exe by itself. Is it any better like that?
