Game Killing Bug?

Argh! After 2 weeks of reading the instructions I am in year 3 of my first game. The main map display has stopped working! I can look at the trade map, the diplomacy map etc - just not the regular game map. If I hit the shield above the victory point score nothing happens - normally it takes you into the main game map.

My last two saves still have this problem. Am I doing something wrong?
Please tell me I have hit a button that I am not aware of and I can easily remedy this problem. If not I would have thought this bug would be well known?

I've had another look at the game and I still cannot get anywhere.
Basically I'm stuck in the trade display. I can switch to other maps but not the regular main map that shows army's etc. The main map display that shows when clicking on the shield above the victory points is the trade map.

So basically the game is unplayable at the moment. If anyone knows if this is a bug or knows how to get back to the main map please let me know.

So the button that says "back to main" doesn't work? If it does, you can go back and then press the tree above the minimap to make it look right again.
