Game Loads but goes to desktop (non crash)

The game was running fine on my laptop until I ran out of battery power in the middle of a game.

The computer went into hibernate mode. Once I finally found an outlet, I plugged in and tried to load the game.

The starting intro video comes up, I press escape to skip it. Then I hear the starting screens music coming up. The game doesn't let me open it up though, it is as if I have alt+tabbed out.

I try to click back in, screen resizes and then seems as if I alt+tabbed again.

First thing to try is renaming the AVI folder to AVI_back, this will avoid any problems with the bink player. It will also skip the intros and save you the time.

If you are on a laptop you may just want to delete that folder since it will save you HD space.
