I am an old player of paradox games, I still have my boxes of the first editions of Hearts of Iron, Crusaders Kings and Europa Universalis, as well as others, and I bought every new version since then. I play multiplayer games with a friend. I play on Mac for 4 or 5 years.
However, since the last update, the game Rome Imperator doesn't launch anymore. I can choose a game and then choose a country, but when I click on 'launch", the game freezes.
I'm on a IMac, with 8 GB of memory, a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4 Go, and processor 3,5 GHz Intel Core i7 four cores, then I think I meet the "minimum requirement" as indicated in other posts.

That is exactly the symptom we see since the 1.3 patch of a below-spec video system on Mac I'm afraid.

Essentially it is a matter of luck that the game used to run before the 1.3 patch.

Your options are:

- boot the Mac into Apple Bootcamp if you have that installed, as the issue does not exist under Windows
- run on another Mac with a supported video system
- run on a Windows or Linux machine if you have access to those
- revert the game to 1.2 in the Steam Betas tab for this game, as that should still work.

Sorry you've ended up in this situation!

I do not know, I am sorry. Check in that game's forum to see if that's been mentioned already, I guess!

I bought the game 3 days ago, I have a MacBook Air 10.14.6 Mojave and the crash is exactly the same. I never had the 1.2 version, so what can I do? This is the only computer I have

Get a refund. They have stated that they're not going to fix this bug, so you'll never be able to play an updated version of Imperator anyway.
