Game Not Working

I've recently tried reinstalling Cities Skylines (the first one), but everytime I launch it nothing happens. When I check steam it says it's running and when I check task manager it shows the paradox launcher is running, but no cities skylines.

I've tried to follow some other steps, including trying to look at my output_log.txt, but it appears that I don't have one. Any help?

You can bypass the launcher by following these instructions:

Download the attached cities.bat.zip file
Extract from it cities.bat
Place the .bat file in your game's Steam folder (In the same place as your cities.exe)
Right click the game in your Steam library
Go to properties
Select Launch Options
Copy and Paste cities.bat %command% into the input box
X out of that screen
Run the game
