The game only starts once until I reinstall

Steps to reproduce​

1. Install game
2. Run the game normally
3. Exit to desktop. The game hangs - the blue circle just keeps spinning. Force quit is required
4. Press Play on steam to open the launcher.
5. In the Launcher, press Play or Resume. The game opens a black window with the cursor visible. It never gets past this to the splash logo.
6. Uninstalling and reinstalling will repeat this cycle.

I am not using any mods or DLC. As far as I can tell everything is updated. Steam validated all the game files.

I'm afraid this game will never run on that hardware as it only has an integrated AMD video system; the published minimum requirement under Linux is:

• Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB or ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB (Does not support Intel Integrated Graphics Cards)

Unless you have access to a PC that meets those requirements, or will soon get one, please seek a refund from where you bought the game.

I wouldn't be surprised with your verdict except for the fact that the game runs fine the first time. How could that be if the problem really is the graphics card?

I see in that log that you tried running the game from the exectable directly, bypassing Steam. That can never work, it can only be run from the Steam PLAY button then our launcher's PLAY button!

Can I get a log taken after you do that please, perhaps it gets further and gives more detail.


However what I said is the case - your video system only has 128mb of dedicated Vram and the game requires 512mb at the very least.

Oddly enough when I generated the log file I did indeed run via steam, then the launcher. I've tried again though and am attaching the new log.

This time it stopped immediately after the video info in that log, as you can see. I'm pretty confident that is the problem I'm afraid!
