Game refuses to start.

I got CK2 off of steam when it came out, and have since gone through a ton of errors when trying to start. I fixed most of them, but now I'm clueless. I run the exe, and get an error saying:
The procedure entry point ??1_NonReentrantPPLLockHolder@details@Concurrency@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100.dll.

I have the msvcr100 thing in the folder, though I have no idea how to fix this. Can anyone help me out?

Remove all msvcr100 things from your folder and install this instead: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

I did that, and got the same error.

dumb question but you shouldn't have had the file in the folder in the first place. did you place it manually? if so you possibly screwed up your entire system. make absolutely certain the file is gone from your system. reinstall the game into another directory and try reinstalling the c++ redistributable.
never download .dll files directly and hope the file didn't have some additional code!
