I just recently bought this game and was able to install it without difficulty. However, I encountered a problem when I tried to launch it.

The game began loading, where it cycles through pictures and at the bottom says what it is loading. When it got to the part where at the bottom it said "Creating World", the game crashes. The following error message appears:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (This was the title of the error message)

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files....

This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I have Ati Radeon Xpress 200 any help would be helpful

Please run DXDIAG, Save All Info, and post dxdiag.txt here (first delete everything after the Sound Devices section so it will fit). Also post your Rome/settings.txt and Rome/logs/system.txt files. Note that if you use Vista and have installed the game in the suggested folder c:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Rome\, the active versions of these last two files will have been redirected by Vista to a non-system directory, like c:\users\[name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\paradox interactive\rome\. You may have to search your C: drive for them.
