Sorry but we do not support the game with User mods or edits.

Uninstall,
Make sure all the files in the HOI2 folder are deleted,
Reinstall the vanilla version,
Patch to 1.3a.
 
Wow a full HD you do not see that much these days with the huge Drives on the market. Well I am glad you found that out since I would never have thought to ask you about that, although I guess I would have noticed it on a Dxdiag report.
