Expected Result​

I expext the game to start

Actual Result​

I click "play" in steam and then "play" on the next window and then I get a message box "the game crashed" and that I should send the logfiles to the developer.

After I press "play" on steam I get a box with a crash message.

You almost certainly have the Citrix Workspace problem.
