Hi,

After a week of flawless gameplay, the game freezes whenever the crusade event triggers in late July or early August 1386. The in-game date progresses very slowly for a couple of days before stopping entirely. I’ve read posts suggesting solutions like uninstalling everything, but I’m wondering: is this a PC issue or a game-related problem, given that it’s tied to a specific in-game event? When I revert to earlier dates, the game works perfectly fine.

Additionally, I can’t seem to locate any of my save games. I may have forgotten to enable the "save to the cloud" option, but they should still be saved locally, right? I’ve checked the usual "Documents" folder, but they’re not there.

I’ve attached the DxDiag report for reference.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix these issues?

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE
I managed to find my saved games and even reinstalled the game, but unfortunately, the issue persists. The game still freezes when the crusade event triggers in late July or early August 1386. Loading a save game at this point results in the same problem.

I haven’t tried starting a new game yet—I’m reluctant to invest time only to hit the same roadblock again.

If there were no mods ever used in that campaign, and the save game file causes this problem reliably, it pretty much has to be a game bug I'm afraid. If so we won't be able to fix it here, it will need a game patch; any such patch may fix the issue in that save, or may just prevent that problem happenign again but be unable to rescue that save.

If that is the situation, please make a new thread in Bug Reports and attach the save file there for QA and the devs to look into. Then just put it aside, and try it again as you see new game patches come out.

If however there were any mods involved, we won't be able to help here - you could try the User Mods forum.

Sorry for that problem!

Ah, nuts! I was really on a roll…

Thank you so much for the incredibly fast response. Your support is fantastic, not just here but also in the other posts I’ve seen. Really great work!
