So I saw that you can get the launcher as a standalone thing and launch your game from there so they are all in one place. Very nice. I run an Arch Linux derivative OS and there is only a .deb package but that's fine. I converted it into an arch installable package myself. The launcher did launch without issue, and I logged in without issue.

Here is the problem. The launcher only shows CK3 and Stellaris and when I tell it where the Steam install directory is it says there is no game in that folder. I assume this is accurate and it wants me to install the game as standalone. That's fine... I guess. Sidenote: Why not just push your launcher through steam (Ie, click on Paradox launcher in steam -> Launcher runs and shows all steam installed PDX games)?

Anyway, assuming there are technical or legal reasons for this not being possible, why am I only seeing two PDX games in the standalone launcher? I own HOI4 and almost all DLC, EU4 and several DLC, Prison Architect through Epic (Which is linked to my account here), Shadowrun, Cities Skylines with some DLC, Age of Wonders 3, Shadowrun Returns, CK2, and HOI3 with DLC.

Wondering if I need to fix something with my account, or some other issue. Other than PA everything is owned via Steam. Thank you.

Games need to have a separate custom build done to be able to be run from each platform, our standalone launcher included.

When run standalone, the launcher runs in a non-Steam-compatible mode intended for folks who don't want to use Steam. That's why it doesn't find your Steam installations, they are intended to be played from Steam. When run that way it is intended to only play games bought from our store; not from Steam, Epic, or anywhere else.

Only games from Stellaris onwards were ever ported to that platform, no older ones.

Furthermore the developers of several PDS games have ceased to support their games on that platform; I'm not 100% across that but it includes at least Stellaris and CK3. Those games only have old versions available in the standalone launcher platform, not recent patches or DLCs.

The bottom line is you should run Steam game from Steam and Epic games from Epic.

I hope that clarifies matters for you!

It doesn't but I appreciate the reply. I guess I was under the impression that the reason to the standalone launcher was so that you could keep the entirety of your PDX games in one launcher. Seems like it would facilitate monetization, DLC, ect, and make it easier on players having everything "right there". But it's fine. I can live with "Run it from Steam". I just apparently misunderstood the purpose to having a standalone launcher available.

I'm not sure how you got that impression, but it was never the case. It was always for the (very few!) customers who had an issue with using Steam, and it was never going to be retrospectively used for old games like the ones you mention (eg Shadowrun, AoW3, HOI3 etc). Those games are out of development so there was no possibility of them having a new version made for that platform.

I would assume those current PDS games are de-committing from it because the user population is so low that it's not worth the developers' while supporting yet another game version/platform.
