Will we see races from other Star Trek games like the Garidians and the Chodak make an appearance as minor factions?
Hard to say. The Chodak at least have been featured in multiple games not made by the same developers.IIRC there a legal issues using content from older Trek Games. As unlike LucasFilm and Star Wars, not everything made under the licence in the 90s belong to CBS.
It's been brought up before with Star Trek Online wanting to use stuff.

Same company, different brands: Spectrum Holobyte and Microprose merged in 1993, though they continued to use both names for some few years after. All of the games the Chodak were in were thus published by a single company. Microprose, Inc. was later acquired by Hasbro, so getting the rights to use the old Spectrum Holobyte unique works could be interesting.Hard to say. we do not know exactly what the contracts said but i guess the rights to some game only species belongs to the creator. they can not really use it but its theirs.Yes, but didnt the two license holders merge into one company again? it used to be that movies and tv-show licences belonged to diffrent companies (Which is why Discovery (initially) and the 2009 movies had such different visuals).
But didnt these companies become one again some years ago, which would make the license holder just one company?
or is there a third/second company which holds the licence for videogames or other types of star trek content then movies and tv-shows?
