General DAIM question - save game editing

I'm about to pick up a save-game from someone else, and I've got DAIM installed. What edits, if any, do I need to make to the save to have the AIs use the DAIM versions?

(This is all new stuff for me, so forgive the beginner question).

First of all, what year is it ingame? If it's too far, it's not worth it anyway. The AIs need time to produce and research, just like the player.
