About the new modelled portraits:

I guess the 3D-Portrait-Code works with attribute-values (like for example Nose, Ear, Eyes-Length/Width, Hair-Colour brown, blonde, etc) and generates a face by the defined attributes.

A newborn, i guess, gets randomly a attribute-value from one of his parents (for example lose-lenght from father, hair-colour from mother) so that the child is always a mix of his parents, BUT...

does every character in the game has only one attribute-value for each category, OR is it more like real genetics where actually everyone has two values (one dominant and shown and one recessive hidden value) and a new generate child gets randomly a attribute-value of 4 isntead of just 2 possible options?

If 4 values it would be great, because in this case its rather possible that a child reminds you of his famous agnate grandfather and looks less like his non-famous father for example and its less probably that all children of a couple look too similar.

So when we talk about 3d-portraits, how will genetics actually work in CK3?

And if we talk about other (hidden?) attributes will genetics have also influence on other aspects beside of the appearance of a character?

And when we talk about genetics (I hope every character has always a dominant and recessive value): What about epigenetics? If I'm having an very special lifestylel (alcoholism) could it effect my future unbred heir?

Any news so far I may have overlooked?

Gonna point out that genetics isn't always so simple. Some traits can be codominant and some traits only show up on the sex chromosomes which can lead to some differences between how men and women show. Don't think they've said much beyond genetics being there to some extent.

One thing I like about this 3D portrait system and genetics that come with it, is that mixed children will now have proper skintones and features from both parents, rather than having to rigidly stick with one random parent's genetics and portrait set as in CK2.
