I just wanted to start a game in 1187 scenario, to get a little feel for the situation for an AAR I want to write. The problem, the person I wanted to play wasn´t there. Within Germany there are some things not historically correct. I start with an important relation that should be there.

House "Askanien" is very powerfull at scenario start, they do not only rule Saxony, but also Brandenburg and Hedwig Askanien is married to Otto Wettin the Duke of Meissen. Those who want to have a deeper impression of the dynastical relations should look into an old thread of mine: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=138030

I have started to make some dynastical corrections, they should look somewhat like that:

Changes to characters:
--> removed the wrong Dukes of Meissen and Brandenburg/corrected dynasties, added some characters, changed some stats and looks, more changes to come (will look over my characterizations in the old thread)

renamed character 12908 "Albert Askanien" to "Albrecht Askanien", he is known as Albrecht "Der Bär"

secondary = { type = 10 id = 12036 }

(the second marriage was earlier, but since child marriages are not allowed I changed it to a later date)

- changed province 311 name from "Plauen" to "Altenburg" and put it under direct rule of the emperor/german king, that fits with historical situation, since it was a "Kaiserpfalz" and towns like Chemnitz that were founded around that time in the area were under imperial rule

I think I have to rework the id´s because I guess they are reserved for Paradox, but I was too idle for that at the moment, sorry (and I have some bad headache :wacko: ). What I will do also, is to give Braunschweig to "Heinrich the Lion" the old enemy of Friedrich I Hohenstaufen.

In the Saxony setup there is something wrong. Matilde Angevin (id = 4509) was not married to a member of the Askanien family, but to Heinrich XII Welf "The Lion" (Welf = dynastie 650). In 1187 he still held Braunschweig (C257).

So my quick solution for the situation looks somewhat like this:

I made province C257(Braunschweig) vassal of Saxony and Heinrich XII the count of Braunschweig. This is just a quick solution, since Heinrich XII. was already married for the second time when the game starts. I will work on that. I just made these changes for my AAR preparations.

Do you think this is a good thing to change for everybody else?

Well, my english is not that well, so I just answer that how my abilities allow me to ( = I´m not certain if I understood you right :) ). I´m just trying to help the betas working on the scenario to put things right. I would have done these changes anyway, so if others can profit from it thats fine. As long as you don´t complain that your game doesn´t work anymore after you changed that way its Ok with me. I hope that answered your question :D !
