Germany stops france invasion

As italy, if i join the axis before the fall of france, Germany stops its attack mid way and just sits there.

and also, why doesn't italy get to keep any french african territories, or the ones that italy has cores on?

I will check that, but I never seen any problem with the alliance ger-ita

Is the result of the Vichy event, we can add some cores for italy
