I started this AAR because my Gotterdammerung AAR has failed due to a loading error that crashes my game whenever I try to load it. So now, I've gone the opposite way.

Assisted by "No Neutrality" I'll be forced to declare war on every country I share a border with, from the moment I start sharing a border with them.

My wars will be decided on alphabetical order. To prevent intentional delays or exploits, any war can last for 2 months maximum if it's a minor country and 6 months if it's a major country before I HAVE to declare war on another country.

I may not declare war for strategic reasons (IE No invading weaker states to pierce well defended countries).

Declarations of war wait for nothing, immediate war declarations must be made.

My neighbours are:
  1. Austria (2 months limit) Conquered (1 Month)
  2. Belgium (2 months limit) Conquered Along with France (5 Months)
  3. Czechoslovakia (2 months limit)
  4. Denmark (2 months limit)
  5. France (6 months limit) Conquered Along with Belgium (5 Months)
  6. Hungary (2 months limit) [After Fall of Austria]
  7. Italy (6 months limit) [After fall of Austria]
  8. Luxemburg (2 months limit)
  9. Lithuania (2 months limit)
  10. Spain (2 months limit)
  11. Switzerland (2 months limit)
  12. Netherlands (2 months limit)
  13. Poland (2 months limit)
  14. Yugoslavia (2 months limit) [After fall of Austria]
My first target was Austria (Alphabetical Order) and after each successful conquer I'll have to revaluate my options.

My second target was Belgium, which triggered a war with the Allies and the premature fall of France.

My third target must be Czechoslovakia (Alphabetical order).

Wish me luck.

The Opening Moves - Austria, Belgium, & France
1936, January 1. Time to invade Austria. (First I reorganized the Wehrmacht into one HQ with complete Army Groups Et Al)

HoI3_8.jpg

Yes yes yes, it's early Anschluss mother****ers

HoI3_10.jpg

The 1. Armee is tasked with clearing out Austria before the end of February 1936. Meanwhile, Poland grants us rights to move our troops from Konigsberg to the western front. Looks like they'll live to see tomorrow.

HoI3_12.jpg

1. Armee gets to the action zone. Effects are immediate.

HoI3_13.jpg

Anschluss, Anschluss, Anschluss!!!!

HoI3_14.jpg

Apparently they changed the name of Vienna so we wouldn't find it. HAHA! All will fall before the might of the Wehrmacht.

HoI3_15.jpg

Anschluss baby! And if I haven't said it enough times already, Anschluss!

HoI3_16.jpg

Since Italy, Hungary, & Yugoslavia are my newly gained neighbours; Belgium is next.

HoI3_17.jpg

Foolish Allies come to the aid of Belgium. With France in the mix, I now have 6 months to finish off Belgium & France before I have to declare war on another country altogether. Belgium will collapse before the might of the Wehrmacht. All will fall! All I tell you! All!

HoI3_19.jpg

Tough decision to make, I'll create Vichy France for now and invade them later.

HoI3_20.jpg

We suffer a setback. But Guderian's armoured division will live to fight another day.

HoI3_21.jpg

45,000 men join the already 205,000 strong Wehrmacht. We're mobilizing baby. Manpower problems? What manpower problems?

HoI3_22.jpg

The look of the front in mid-April 1936.

HoI3_23.jpg

Good progress for just 9 days. The front keeps collapsing over the French & Allies head.

HoI3_25.jpg

The zipper of the Maginot Line has already begun to unzip. By now I've produced and incorporated over 10 AT brigades & 10 ARTY Brigades.

HoI3_26.jpg

Offensive action resumes. (I micromanage everything by the way) and it's going brilliantly.

HoI3_27.jpg

Bruxelles anyone? Glad they haven't changed the name to try and hide the city like the other fools.

HoI3_27.jpg

The state of France & Belgium on May the 18th, 1936.

HoI3_30.jpg

Only 4 days later.

HoI3_31.jpg

Another Dunkirk, except this time it's Calaise. Excellent encirclement of over 145,000 English, French, & Belgian troops.

HoI3_33.jpg

Paris falls to our mighty Panzertroopenkommando & VI Armeekorps.

HoI3_34.jpg

The fall of France.

HoI3_35.jpg

The end of Belgium's forces in Europe with an entire month to spare. Time to invade Czechoslovakia.

The World At War - Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Hungary, & an Early D-Day

Despite declaring war on Czechoslovakia 17 days ago, they didn't even try to leave their defensive positions. They will pay for such a mistake.

HoI3_37.jpg

Yeah, so much for that defensive line.
HoI3_38.jpg

Yeah, so much for Czechoslovakia.
HoI3_39.jpg

Anyone feel like Danish cookies?
HoI3_40.jpg

And that was fast.
HoI3_41.jpg

A quick and nasty British invasion in Antwerp encircles some 30,000 men in Brugge and reached Bitburg while we were distracted with Denmark.
HoI3_42.jpg

The fall of the Brugge pocket. We will avenge our fallen brethren.
HoI3_43.jpg

The "Liberation" of Belgium. These despicable English speaking fools will be slaughtered.
HoI3_44.jpg

Anyways, it's high time to declare war on Hungary.
HoI3_45.jpg

And the British have just lost their last port on mainland Europe. They're encircled in central France.
HoI3_46.jpg

As the Hungarians begin to fall, our mass assault research is complete.
HoI3_47.jpg

Cleaning out the scum.
HoI3_48.jpg

Observe the dismay of Hungary and the state of the British forces in central France.

On a roll...or should it be on-track?:) But you probably don't have much Arm or Mot yet? Maybe I'd better just say man you're hoofin'-it.:D

Actually I do have a bit of Motorized units now. I have an entire Light Panzerkorps (3 divisions that you start with as Germany) and a Panzergrenadier-korps [(MOT-MOT-ENG-TD)x5] to boast at the moment.

Your Gotterdammerung AAR was much more interesting. Here you go the easy way :(

I do agree with you that my Gotterdammerung AAR was more interesting, but from the day I started that campaign it was riddled with problems. First some divisions wouldn't show up on the map, then whenever a USAAF bomber went over Germany it would conquer a few provinces (imagine losing Hannover randomly or Dresden). I hid all the bugs and issues I faced from the reader, but when the save-game file wouldn't load I simply couldn't fix it.

This is anything but easy though, I can't begin to explain the difficulty of manoeuvring a German army that is out of manpower, simply because I conquered all the countries that would normally grant me 800+ manpower from events.

I will restart a Gotterdammerung campaign after the holidays for sure. My existing dormant AARs will also regain their momentum hopefully after the new year.

Have a great holiday season and a happy new year!

And you still have a lot of warfare ahead.:)

Merry Christmas to you too and may your next year be your best thus far!
Cheers
