Getting Airport Mods to Work

So, I've been trying to successfully get a custom airport to work. By custom I just mean I built a downloadable terminal and added some runway to it using the airport roads mod.

However, no planes land, ever.

I have used the one-way arrows mod to make sure there is a route available, however still nothing.

The question:

Does anyone have any good places to start to try and work out what the problem is?
Does anyone know of any rules that stop custom airports working?
Possible things that would stop custom airports:

• Too short a runway (not the case in my city, but a possible situation)
• Can't have airports sharing a runway/runways?
• Incompatibility with other mods / latest version of game / DLC expansions?
• Anything else?

The landscaping/quays update seems to have broken airport assets.

Of all the ones I have tried, the only custom "terminal" I have seen actually working is a 3x plane stand (and interestingly, before the update, it was giving errors)

I just recently fixed those assets.

Check out the recommended assets on Airport Roads workshop page. I recommend you delete the old ones from your saved games, unsubscribe from them and then subscribe to the fixed versions.
