Have you tried disabling your sound card?

It can be disabled in the BIOS. When the computer starts, it will display a message like "Press DEL to enter setup", press the key (usually DEL) and check trough the BIOS pages to find something that talks about sound.

Now, don't change anything else than this setting. It should be called "Integrated sound" or something similar. If you are not sure of yourself, post here everything that you see on your BIOS screen and I will try to teach you remotely how to do it (it's difficult because each MB, and each BIOS revision is different, and I'm not in front of your screen).

Hi

when the game starts, do ctrl+alt+del if you see bink.exe END TASK

also in device manager disable the joystick port.

one more thing you can try is kill all the background apps. and upgrade your drivers. and a defrag is a good idea as well.

also rename the avi folder to something else.

cheers
