Give Us An Option to Disable "Names In The Game"

It's been almost 9 months since a thread was created by user John Forseti requesting this exact change and there have been no other news about whether this feature can be removed in a future update or not.
Many of the "Names in the Game" I find are extremely edgy or outright offensive, completely ruining an otherwise nice experience.

I understand that people have paid to have their names in the game but that doesn't mean other people should be forced to have their garbage, edgy, uncreative and clearly unvetted characters in their game.
How can you possibly tell me this is okay?

I want proper prisoners with proper bios in my prison, not this unmoderated atrocity.

It doesn't help that you changed the file from an editable .txt to a non-editable binary format so we can't even remove the terrible names now.
For the love of all that is holy, please give us an option to disable this atrocious feature for good!

On a similar note to this, I remember buying this and would actually like my name removed from the game, but haven't been able to find any means to get that done.

This was the case since release. Introversion claimed not to have the resources to implement basic quality control (which was a lie), Paradox simply don't care.

This made me curious but that thing is about as ironclad as I can tell. I even tried hex editing the names_in_the_game bin file and making it a mod and it still just did not care about any edits whatsoever to that file. Even something as simple as changing a single letter to the next in the alphabet wouldn't work.

I too would love an option to disable these.
I've genuinely laughed at a couple of the descriptions, but on the whole this feature seems to have been abused, and perhaps left unfinished.

I agree with this for all these reasons and another one: Their crimes never line up with their bio.


They'll be like "Bob 'killdeath' zamboni"

"Killed 50 men with one donut because he was angry they took too long now is injailforever"

but he's in for like tax fraud as min sec, even if that edgy/randumb story was true, the crime doesn't match!
