Going to pub, need a quick answer...

Just bought the game. Already wasted 3 days of my life. Was it waste..? Its fantastic.

Need to download the relevant patch to fix all the bugs. I am a UK user and when I took the one from the Paradox site yesterday, it resulted in endless CTD's.

So.. Which is the correct patch, or order of patches? Where can I find it/them? How do I install it? (do I uninstall anything first?)

Sorry for the obvious ignorance of all this. A quick answer will be really appreciated as I'm going to the pub and would like to play upon my return.

uninstall the game. Then reinstall.

Then download the 1.05c patch which you can get at

The patch you need depends on your publisher, you can find out who they are by lookinging at the logos on the CD. There should be Paradox and one or two others, tell me the other ones and I can direct you to the correct patch.

The publisher appears to be 'KOCH media'.

I've managed to get the game running with no probs (as yet), with the Paradox latest download. I didn't uninstall anything as the chap before suggests... but I would like to know that I'm running the most recent version, with all known bugs fixed?

Good that you did not follow the advice given since he gave you the link to the NA patch which would not have worked for you.
You have the UK version. So you DL the correct patch.

Install 1.05C, rename your AVI folder to AVI_back and set your color depth to 16BIT.

Try that and see if it helps.
