Golden Horde "mercenaries" don't make sense after a while.

On this shot, you can see the Golden Horde is almost entirely destroyed. They hold on to a measly handful of counties. Also, they converted to Orthodox Christianity.

But... they can still conjure up their 12k stacks, be they mercenaries or reinforcements or whatchamacallit.

That's pretty overpowered considering their current situation.

In real life, there's a lot of land past the east end of the map. Keeps going for tens of thousands of miles, actually. The Golden Horde are Mongols, from Mongolia, out there.

But this isn't real life. This is a game with a world map that doesn't go any further. If it did then that Byzantine Empire looks like it would have stomped the Horde all the way back to Mongolia!

You have a point, but since they are there in the first place due to the idea of a map that's actually theoretically larger, I would call it logical. If it's balanced, well, that's another question. But since they are outnumbered and cornered I would say that they doesn't appear to be over powered, at least.

They put up a hell of a lot harder fight for their size than anybody else, thats for sure.
