in my latest game i've taken over all of iberia save for castille (damn spainards can't die!!), but i have had the same monarch for 200 years, i've gotten no events concerning whipping out tago, or becoming just as large a colonial power as spain. did anyone create events similar to the byz fantasy events? are/were they in the eep?

If you look a few pages back, there are various threads that have some events that I made, but never were included as they never were finished (event texts). Recently, there was going to be a revitalization of event making for Granada but everyone that was posting just sort of vanished. That being said, I'm still trying to work on a monarch list for Granada of possible historical claimants.

never knew that, but thanks. in my experience playing granada i think that an event that really is necessary is one that forces castille and (maybe) portugal out of iberia. if the player doesn't take the canary islands (my mistake...), castille can still colonize. however, why would granada allow messages out of madrid? i would assume it wouldn't. an event that fired when granda controls all of iberia aside from tago and castille that forced castille (or spain) to move the capital out of madrid would be great. moving port's capital out of tago would make less sense, and i really had no trouble kicking port out of iberia aside from their city in india and east africa. damn events!

Yep, something to move the capital back to the Asturias might be nice.

How about a real fluffy event called "Granada recliams the title as Almohad Caliphate".

Gicing you tons of CB on the old Almohad lands, ie. Western north africa and south iberia.

there already is an eep event that, when you are at war with castille/spain, you get cores on almost all of iberia, including castille and tago. no north africa cores, however. where is/were the asturias?

-Matt

Actually the EEP event that you reference was created to keep Granada from relation drops. Since cores drop relations over time, I wanted this not to happen until Iberia had already attacked Granada. All the cores that are given, are actually the cores you start out with in Paradox's 1419; so really having deprived Granada its cores, then it gets them back.

I think though that this event would have to be regulated. Neither the Nasrids or the related Sadi's of Morocco would have a very good claim to the Almohads former lands. That being said, something could be done that allows Granada cores on Morrocan territories per familial relations but much more would be a 'wicked' stretch.
