So I started a game as France when CK3 came out and exported to EUIV, as I became an Empire, this continued in EUIV and I continued to be the most powerful nation through the whole game. I'm in Vicky 2 now and it exported in 1821 which I didn't think was possible so anyway I started as No 3 major power, fairly high in industry average in prestige and low in military. Now I'm finding myself dropping off to a secondary power 11th after a few years. There are rebels all over the place. It's not fun. I don't know how the export interpreted the change. I don't need to be No 1 but I didn't think it was going to be this difficult or drop so quickly?

Can anyone explain why? I can share the save file.

I also loved the EU experience this time round when normally I never enjoy playing EU because I had the added care factor that this is my dynasty that I was so familiar with in CKIII and it's continuing. But this is lost in Vicky as it doesn't say who the monarch is. But I guess Vicky 3 will address this?

The obligatory response here is "We need more context".
You're dropping below being a major, but who's overtaking you? And what are you behind on them on?
What's your tech like? What's everyone else doing? Are you losing wars? Who's rebelling, and for what?
It might be a good idea to share some save files.

The main question is how you managed to get France to a secundary power. Is a powerful nation even in Vanilla.
The rebel thing i think is more in the converter than in vanilla, but I dont know why.

Im currently playing my second Megacampaign and im at the EU4 part. In Vicky 2 i had a bad experience with my last game, partly because of the revolts and 90% because i sucked at this game :p

Thanks for the replies. I would provide it but I can't find the save files?

It's better now I think what was happening was the budget numbers were not showing up correctly so I had stockpiles and education and admin and even military on low support and I think that affected all my numbers. It said that I was in like 22,000 pounds deficit but in actual fact I was making money every single day. I had so much money it got to over $1m pounds And I started to realise this and started to correct my sliders and everything corrected itself. I still have money to burn but it's not like before. And at the beginning of the game I had like a million messages asking about the POPs decisions - much more than usual.
