Description​

I promised a grand wedding for my son. I subsequently died before he turned 16 and my son was then betrothed for 3 years until he was 19 after which I received the penalty for breaking a promise. There was no way to proceed with the grand wedding as a previous character had made the promise. I have also encountered bugs before with my son being landed and being forced to break the promise.

You could also try to resolve this issue with the unofficial patch mod, achievement compatible, there will be a décision that will clear all GW variables & flag when it detect invalid cases.
