  • Cities in Motion
I have purchased Cities in Motion a few months ago, everything was working fine but one day when i tried to launch the game it said that 'my graphic card didn't support the game'. I have tried to update my graphic card, i have downloaded patches but still it doesn't work. (And since i am not verry good with computers :eek:o ) I have no idea what to do next.

Anyone who can help me out?

Hi sandervanderz,

First thing: What is your graphics card?
If you have an nvidia card and had to install beta drivers to play Rage or Battlefield 3 i.e, there is a good possibility the drivers are not compatible with CIM anymore (and most of other games for that matter..) in which case you will need to revert to the latest whql drivers from their website.

Then what application exactly is notifying you that "your card doesn't support the game"? Does this happen when you launch the game from Steam, Steam shows a popup and gives you the choice to "Continue anyway" or "Cancel"? If that is the case, you should try and continue and it should continue working, Steam can occasionally say that if a new version of the video drivers were shipped and you didn't upgrade.

Finally, can you provide us with more information on what happens? If the error doesn't come from Steam, where does it come from? And do you experience a crash? And could you attach your "log_metro.txt"? You should find it in "C:\Users\<YOUR_NAME>\Documents\Cities in Motion\".
Cheers, :)

I seem to recall having a similar issue a few months back where the settings.script file in C:\Users\<YOUR_NAME>\Documents\Cities in Motion\ got corrupted somehow. After deleting it the game launched fine (by creating a new copy of the file with the default settings).
