Thanks for that moment!

It means that the ai can handle things well sometimes.

I do love that little country. It was the first one I built and remains my favourite.

While not my greatest experience, last night it sure did feel great to form a giant land bridge from Flanders to Austria as Bavaria, all without dropping below a "Respectable" reputation in the first 50 years of play.

BTW Matty, I don't think the updates are every late. They always come, as Johann's sig. goes, just on time. I'd rather you take a day off and go for a hike then take a day off and code :) Keep up the great work!

It always feels good to unite a region.

I am looking forward to playing as Porto and forming Astrurias. Yeah, tough job.\

Another one I just remembered. I loved Brittany and annexing Wessex, forming the Grand Brenton union, and then fighting a MASSIVE war with Scotland over the crown of Wales in which I just barley eacked out a victory. Burgundy overran me afterward though, and I was forced to quit.

Yeah, the ai is tougher than on most mods, especially if you play in coward mode. No sooner have you gained new territory than the nearest powers gang up on you.

Excuse my ignorance but in what way would "Coward" make the game harder? The AI strains its resources less?

Dunno what my best moment was though. Overrunning the Ill-Khanate as Abbasid Caliphate and diploannexing Kingdom of Jerusalem as Byzantium was both fond memories.

The options for the ai at game start run from Coward to Agressive. It is harder playing against the ai set to coward, because on the coard setting, the ai nations only attack when the opportunity is really good. This means two things for a player:

1. The ai ountries aren't attack much, so attacking your next victim once they are deep into an exhausting conflict (and therefore easy prey) is something you might have to wait decades for (except at game start, naturally).

2. The ai now plays that same trick. As with Hurricanes comment above, no sooner had he finally fought to control England and Wales than the patient ai-Burgundy said "Right, now that you are weak, I will crush you." And so it did. Cowardly maybe, but very effective.

Comparatively, aggressive ai means they go to war every 10 years, and often stupidly.
