Greek hybrid culture using incorrect architecture

Description​

Hybrid culture based on Greek and Egyptian has Continental European castles and Arabic cities after selecting Byzantine architecture.

Steps to reproduce​

Begin forming a hybrid culture between Greek and Egyptian (or any other culture)
Select Byzantine Architecture in the Aesthetics tab

Yeah it isn't just Greeks and this was Roads to Power as well thought then that it was just a mod issue but obviously not. If anyone has found a fix for it please share.
Mine happened in Jerusalem with Catalano-Mashriqi hybrid.
 
They've redone how holding graphics are decided since Fate of Iberia (where you could hybridize and get Iberian castles everywhere) to now/starting with Legacy of Persia where unique culture graphics are region locked.

You can see flaws in the system in two places right now:
1. Azerbaijan: culturally Persian but has European architecture "because it is out of Persia"
2. Antioch: culturally Greek but uses European architecture because "it's not in Greece/Anatolia"

They've broken Iberian in a similar way now too, so if you hybridize Andalusian/Baranis you'll see European architecture in north Africa.

I reported the Azerbaijan issues after legacy of Persia came out, it was marked "confirmed" but has not been fixed.

I've made a personal mod to fix it, and I just don't understand why they've moved to the region locked system like they have in Legacy of Persia.

Would you be so kind as to share the files for that mod? I literally abandoned my Greek Egypt run because it bugged me so much.

These files should fix some cases of Iberian, Iranian and Byzantine buildings not appearing. They go in game/common/buildings/

Specifically they make all graphics valid in MENA and Mediterranean regions (not western, steppe or india, but this is because I typed something wrong when I tried to make those versions).

Graphically the map is split into 5 regions. By default Iberian and Byzantine holdings can only appear in the "mediterranean" which includes Mediterranean Europe and the Caucus. By default Iranian can only appear in MENA (middle east / north africa + subsharan africa). Following my note above you should be able to guess where these _will not_ fix. But this will fix the default bugs (like Antioch not being byzantine or Azerbijan not being Iranian) as well as common culture blending like Berber + Andalusian.

Bumping! Somewhat disappointed at the lack of a response; while I love the game, having to manually edit game files to solve this is irritating.
I completely agree with you. It is truly sad that we are unable to use 3 perfectly good architecture types in a way that would make sense, considering that you can already switch a county in North Africa to the Indian architecture, but then trying to switch it to Iberian architecture just ends up switching it to the European architecture for no good reason. I really hope Paradox still ends up seeing your Bug Report and decides to fix this, since I think just going back to not having a region locked system should do it.
