For quite a while now there is a little green cookie icon that is always visible in the lower left corner. This is bad enough that a persistent, useless icon is always present; but does it really have to slide into view with an obnoxious animation every time you open a new page/reload? This is very annoying and rather markedly pointless. These settings do not need to be consistently present under any circumstance. It does not matter what configuration options are chosen, the icon does not go away.
I see most people don't care as there has been little mention of this, but it should be addressed regardless in my opinion. Having this bright green sliding icon on what is otherwise a dark forum is unnecessary and distracting. Whether it is even there intentionally or just a box got ticked by a forum upgrade is unclear too, but it would be nice to hear from someone about it.
