Growing Pop disappears and starts from 0

Xbox, all dlc, 2.6

I added the planet to a sector and noticed that an almost finished pop just disappeared and started from 0/100 again!

I'm not 100% sure yet but sometimes growing a pop takes very long and when I check the progress it's sometimes empty. I fear more pops are randomly disappearing but I have only seen it once (video above).

I had a disabled/ruined factory on my 2nd planet cause of not having enough pops for the building slot. I never had this happen before. Do pops randomly die or something?

I played isolationist with life seeded (Gaia only) with xenophobe and pacifist. No migration treaties. Pops should not vanish?
