GtA and the ACAs

Alright, I'm starting with the stuff I don't really care all that much about first. What happened with the ACAs? The last one was in Q1 of this year, so I think that we've missed at least Q2, and Q3 is ending.

Secondly, is anybody else interested in reviving Guess the Author? That was fun, and it's near Halloween, so we even have a theme...

I would bring this up in either the GtA thread or the bAAr, but both of those threads are dead... Should I have committed necromancy?

Necromancy is usually understandable in certain cases, but I can understand using a distinct thread to get attention to a wider audience.

That said, I think that the show runners are just probably overwhelmed and haven't kept up with things. I'd presume that pinging one of the mods could help with reorganizing the systems. Honestly, running the awards as much as we tend to do can be a bit exhausting. I'm wondering maybe if it doesn't make sense to have one person detailed for each, individual award set rather than one for all the ACAs and YAYAs.

Not sure about the Q3, and it is in any case run by the exceptional self-initiative of Nikolai, thus whenever Nikolai has the time for it, then it will be there.

err... check the front page mate - it has been held, voted, counted, currently it is the tenth entry on the forum - Q2 2022 ACAs - The Rise of Russia won the first place (shared with Echoes of A New Tomorrow) in Vic2.

I have done all ACAs since Q2? Q3? 2021. They usually get posted in time, now I am a week late and in fact I just discovered this thread because I began writing the OP for Q3. As others have said, I did do Q2. It's a lot of work for that one evening I dedicate to count and present the votes, but it's something I do for a place I value.

In any case, look out for the Q3 2022 ACAs in not too many minutes.

Just catching up with this after a long time away, but as the latest custodian of GtA (I think?) I’m happy to revive it if no one else is chomping at the bit to do so. Been crazy busy with all sorts of irl things over the last few months, but I should be able to stretch to facilitating. I’ll post in the thread over the next few days.
