Also note, if you'd only intended one DLC, many of us would be happy to support you for more than that!

Well. That's not possible in any way. AFAIK with the First Colony Edition were included two expansions and two DLC. ¿Isn't it?

Also I believe the Spirit and Oppertunity updates don't count as DLC for the purposes of that description since they were given for free to everyone with the base game instead of just the Season pass holders.

If they are countng the rather meager content patches weve had so far as 'expanions' I have to say I'll be rethinking my support of the game and taking a much more scepical view of Hermont (and to a slightly lesser extent Paradox) in future.

These absolutely were not expansions, just free updates along with bug fixes showing their commitment. None of these were season pass material.

After looking over the agenda for PDX Con, I think the most likely place to get an announcement is during the main PDXCon announcement show that runs from 11 AM -12:30 PM Stockholm time on Saturday, which is 5 AM US ET.

I'm not sure on the format of PDXCon since I've never watched the stream for them, but from what I know from other major gaming conventions, don't expect more then 10-15 minutes tops to actually focus on Surviving Mars.

Obviously ;) Those patches were only that, updates. :p

I've asked my self several times about the contents planned in the roadmap, having in mind that the updates have been honestly generous.

There's a little teaser-trailer on YouTube on the Paradox Interactive account this morning that shows some shots from the Curiosity update. The main features shown in the trailer are a couple straight-sided domes, the addition of graphs, and a colonist manifest. Can't wait for more detailed information!

Just to make it easier to find, here is the link:

But I would be very interested in a DevDiary as well, which could explain the new planned features and improvements on old ones better then a 1minute trailer can. :)

I just want to add somewhere that I keep following Surviving Mars even though I'm not playing at the moment. I still like the potential very much, but I was hoping more for an epic journey where I create a Martian civilization very much different from Earth, depending on where I landed and what challenges I faced in the first years of my colony. And maybe, down the line, those differences could come into conflict with Earth... For example, I really enjoy seeing typical Martian names, and hope to see more of that kind of features. Sadly, more differently-shaped domes is not really my thing.

I really want to see an expansion where we develop alongside other colonies on Mars (to trade and maybe have some diplomacy with them) and eventually the late game goal becomes to either declare independence from Earth or make sure the rest of Mars remains loyal to it (using culture, economy, outright militarization, etc.), it would conflict with a couple of the mysteries, but these could be reworked a little I think.
