Hard drive lost - looking for old infantry sprite

Hello guys!

I wanted to get into DH again - but unfortunately my old hard drive was lost and while I was able to recover most of it, I apparently lost my sprite collection. And when used to the great community sprites you just can't stand the vanilla infantry sprite anymore. So I thought maybe one of you might still have the sprite that I'm looking for? Unfortunately I cannot provide a picture for it - even after an hour of searching online. So you guys are basically my last hope.

The sprite(s) that I'm looking for replaced the infantry sprite with a different three person sprite - one of the soldier carried a rifle and the two others were mounting a machine gun that fired on a mount in the fire animation. The soldiers were much better detailed and a bit bigger than in the vanilla sprite.

There have been some variants for that sprite as well, like a British, a German (and I think a US) version as well as a two person infantry sprite for the minors.

Does anyone remember the sprites or even still have it? Please let me know!

Sounds like it might be the MTN sprite that I use. I've been using it since HOI2 but not sure who created it but it was probably Puma. I can send you the file this week.

Wow, you're a hero! The two soldier sprites were indeed in Puma's packs, in disguise as MTN sprites. I never figured those were MTN sprites in the first place. So at least those I could recover with your help - that's a very good start. Thanks a lot!

In Puma's packs, however, I was not able to find the three soldier sprites which I loved to use for the main infantry. So if you (or someone else of course) might have those, I'd appreciate it very much. The style is definately the same as in the two soldier sprites.

Hmmm, that's not the sprite I use for MTN, but it's close. I'll take a look at my files this weekend and see what I can find.

Sounds like a converted Civ3 sprite, check out their forum they have many great sprites. I can help with converting them to DH if wish or explain how to do it for yourself. https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/civ3-unit-graphics.60/

Oh, we're almost there - many thanks to you as well! Probably it was a converted Civ3 sprite, since I was able to find two similiar sprite variants of that style on your link.

1st attachment: This one is already VERY close. The only difference that I can see is that there is an additional panzerschreck soldier instead of a rifleman.
2nd attachment: Shows the rifleman that was in my desired sprite instead of the panzerschreck soldier.

Unfortunately I was not able to track down "my" version of that sprite yet on the new link. It probably should have been in the multi-figure unit section, but it doesn't show up. So close!
