I don't think anybody plays Hoi2 anymore, for retro Hoi1 is way better. Hoi2 players play Armageddon or AoD now.
I play HOI2 (with doomsday, arma). But I don't know why HOI2 and Doomsday have seperate forums.
I got both HOI3 & AOD during the sale last month but I'm in no hurry to switch. In fact, I,m porting the 1944revised scenario back to Arma before even playing AOD.
Very good question :/. The biggest differece I can think of is Escort fighters being divisions and not attachments, having brigades for ships and the intelligence system.
But that certainly doesn't warrent for a different forum

I play arma. usually with mods. kaiserreich or mod 34 or my own attempt at a mod whenever i feel the urge
I play DD multiplayer and Arma as well. A good game will never become obsolete - think of risk, monopoly or chess! I even play Age of empires 2 sometimes...it's called:

Especially with new scenarios, made on their site, my favourite was Macbeth, and Last Crusade.
Me too. And I will continue to do so until HOI3 or any sequal or mod for that sequal comes up with a better game.
It is too fucking hard though!!
I love Armageddon. I would like to try Hearts of Iron 3 because of the command structure (Give a Commander orders, he lets divisions do the rest) but I can't handle the graphics burden.
Maybe after so many years there's less need for game related discussion now.
Anyway, I still HOI2 chiefly of the HOI-series. The "problem" for myself though is that nowadays I mostly focus on EU, CK and Vicky, and HOI gets less and less time. I used to play it all the time before, but now it's finally getting a little inflated.
But I'll probably never fully abandon it, just started allied Sweden campaign today to have something to do while waiting for VickyII.
