Have things changed on how compatibility mods work? Can't get one I made to work after upload to steam. Made a simple compatabity mod that should make it so the Military Station Return mod's stand alone stations and Bigger Defense Stations mod's starbase defense platforms/fortress will be able to use the Extra Ship Components Next reactors but it refuses to function once upload to steam. Work fine as local mod, and I've compaired what was download from steam to the local with the code/text/file structure being identical. I even put the upload one in the same place in the load order as the local one to no effect.

If your mod doesn't seem to be having any effect, this is often caused by a common mistake: subscribing on the workshop to a mod you have in your local files. This will cause the game to ignore both versions entirely! Avoid subscribing to your own mod - if the version you uploaded works, the workshop version will work. Alternatively, if you must test it, change the name of your local mod in the descriptor file. This will allow you to subscribe to the workshop version separately.

Seem to be the issue, What a weird way to make the game function, never had a game that had issues with local and workshop mod that are the same. Going to be annoying updated it since I'll have to move it back to the main folder every time I do, then back to storage.

It's a common issue, but it's possible to make it work. Don't quite know what's needed to make it work though. If you've had the launcher installed for a while, try a fresh reinstall after backing up the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris folder.
