Im having a problem that I have to double click on everything for it to work. I had to double click on resume game, bulldoze and build new roads etc. Iv read that this is a common issue and am wondering has anything been done to resolve it? I have a MacBook M1 2020 and I didn't think the game would have such issues with the amount of updates. Kinda annoying

The game has not been ported to native M1 code, and as I understand it never will be. Technically speaking that is not supported hardware for the game in fact.

Issue sin this area are being discussed here:

I had this problem on MacBook M1 when using a usb mouse and an output plugged into the headphone jack. Unplugging from the headphone jack resolved the issue for me.

Stellaris has a similar issue that can be resolved by tabbing out of the game, clicking in another application's window, then going back to the game. It's possible that some system-level check that runs when headphones are plugged or unplugged also resolves it.

It's not just you and I've experienced this on both my Intel and M1 macbooks, about 50% of the time. Flipping the "Tap to click" setting under Trackpad in Control Center off and on (or on and off) will fix it for the rest of the game launch.

It only started happening for me in January, I've been playing this game on macs for years.

This is still happening more than five months later (the forum warns me), and it's happening on an Intel-based Mac. In fact, there are TWO separate issues that sometimes happen individually and sometimes happen together:

1. You have to double-click on buttons to select them.
2. The WASD keys don't move the viewport around the galaxy/system

This is on 3.6.1 on an Intel Mac running MacOS 13.1 (Ventura) in full-screen mode.

The cure is to tab out and to interact with other windows, and then come back. When I tab out, the game shrinks to a window and sometimes interacting with that fixes the problem.

Hello folks,

this sounds weird but found it to work in Roguebook too: Do not touch the mouse at all when starting the game. Not even a little bit. See if this fixes your issues.

Same situation, except that I need two clicks once and one click once, has anyone else had this problem? this is very strange, because it started out of literally from nothing, I hadn't even seen an update happen.

I don't understand, do I have to set the window regime in the settings? oh, it seems I found here the solution to the problem https://setapp.com/how-to/customize-and-highlight-cursor-on-mac here is described how I can customize corsor on mac, it solved the problem with double click. Besides this I found the highlight function, this actually amazes me, because on windows I didn't notice something like this.
